This week's 5's seem really personal. Each one of us seemed to have posted about something close to us, a project we're working on, or our great city of Baltimore. It's important to connect with the city you're in, the people, how they think, and what they like in our business. Hope you enjoy the weekend, and our Friday FCD5. Stay sunny!
Moc Croc boots are definitely my jam rolling into fall. I need a chunky heel so I’m not falling all over the place while running from place to place every day of the week! The blue and the croc make it all right in my book.
Did you say toddler and sherpa in the same coat description? I would really wear this coat myself, so this is probably why it’s on my radar. It has all the Jen elements—color, furry texture, and a “You don’t belong in Baltimore” vibe. Kids, you can get away with it, so do it now!
Nikes! My hubs is a sucker for classic trainers, and these would be no exception in his wardrobe. Guys can wear them with anything from shorts to a cool lightweight suit in summer. Grab a pair of these, and its lady’s night fellas.
All we ever want as designers, is the ability to customize! Well, the highly customizable Café Appliances (by GE) are breaking Pinterest and Insta alike with their super clean, of the moment finish colors. Brushed bronze…on my range and fridge? Call the police, cuz I’m about to steal your heart with these fab fab fab appliances. Check ‘em out.
I’m going through a black and white phase right now, and am starting to put items in my own house in this scheme. Yes, it’s been around but I’ve been really embrace the classic combo as of late. I just did my powder room in b+w, and am using a mix of black and white, green, and woods in my kiddo’s new craft room (see inso board inset). I am including the rug I selected to use in there because it feels fun and playful for kids. In the design board in looks pretty “out there” but in person, it’s really beautiful and luxe. All lines from Moment available through FCD at great price points!
Baltimore plant Guru Hilton Carter is a favorite both in our office, and certainly around town! His new book Wild at Home: How to style and care for beautiful plants is out, and it’s full of green goodness. From his very own plant-filled loft, to tips on starting with plants, it’s a comprehensive guide to making the green life work for you. AND, Jen’s friend Michelle and John’s house is featured!
Can we just admire the way girlfriend is working this dress? I’d like to think I float into the office in this breezy way but we’ll have to put that to an office vote. If you want to suck out the last minutes of summer this month, take a look at this dress that really flatters many body types and heights. It’s well-priced, and can push you through late September with a denim jacket layered on top.
These aren’t the exact ones I wear but they’re close! Everyone loves when I wear my bright yellow pineapple earrings. You’d be surprised how much they match in my wardobe. These Anthro ones are on sale, so put them in your jewelry box hon!
Fragments pillows are the epitome of hand-crafted. Each pillow is cut and sewn from the finest materials in sunny California. The belly of this gem is made of a heavy hemp linen that gives it that beautiful texture. It’s a splurge but it’s so worth it. Available through us at a trade discount!
These guys might make great stuff for kiddos but we’d use some of their storage pieces in any room. I especially love the cubes. Aren’t we just using cubes everywhere? Shelves, storage units, under the bed, in the playroom for toys? These cubes come in simple stripes and wilder prints. Pick what you like! Available through us at a trade discount!
I have a slight earring obsession. It’s a problem. I’ve been crushing on these Melissa Lovy earrings; the baguette stones with the rose gold is just stunning! Plus, who doesn’t want to wear unicorn earrings?
Besides for Jen (duh!), one of my favorite designers is Paloma Contreras. I have this book on my coffee table and look through it at least weekly. She has this way of meshing textures, colors, and styles that somehow looks effortless. There are gorgeous, high-quality pictures in this book as well as pointers and style guides.
As perfumes go, I pretty much only wear Jo Malone. Their scents are nuanced and subtle but still pack a punch. The combination of smells in this perfume has so much sophistication and depth, and it smells super fresh, definitely helping to keep those summer vibes going strong through August.
Summer clothes should be comfortable. This smock dress is chic and playful while still keeping you cool and breezy. Definite Kate Spade vibes with the poppies, at a quarter of the price point. You’re welcome.

You can never have too many boxes, and definitely never enough lacquer (although I could think of a husband who would beg to differ…). Lilly Pulitzer makes this beautiful, fresh, spunky box that’s elegant and playful at the same time. Plus, it’s on flash sale on Rue La La. Get it fast!
