This week we go into clearing and organization with our faves from the Home Edit, we’re sharing our love of orange and neutrals for fall, and the best coffee table book you’ll display and admire all year. Enjoy the fresh fall weather!
I have never pored over a book more than I did when I received this one. If you even have a remote interest in interiors, you need to get this one right away! I’m a huge fan of Ray Booth because of his acute sensibility in a space. He configures rooms like no one else, and the curated accessories and unique details draw you in. He’s a master at the hanging console too! You need to see them to believe how incredible they are. We are now carrying his entire line with Hickory Chair in-house, so please check it out as well and let us know your favorite pieces!
Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love Target. They have elevated well-priced décor, workout wear, kids and women’s fashion alike. I adore the Who What Wear line, and find myself going to Target first to see what fall finds are out there. This fab floral dress would be great with black boots or a great bag. It’s in my cart ladies, so if you want to be twinsies, add it too!
For some reason, I love luggage. I don’t have a lot of luggage, just one large Orla Keily (for Target) suitcase that I use everywhere I go. However, I’m always dreaming of silver bullet-proof luggage. This set from Mark and Graham reminds me of the train travel we all fantasize about from the Orient Express. I see myself in some kind of big hat and tailored suit toting this around. And for all you Baltimoreans, it has a monogram! Stay preppy Baltimore, stay preppy.
Schumacher does so many things well. They are a favorite of ours for clients because of their elevated craftmanship and the broad spectrum of styles for every taste. They are a go-to for so many projects. I chose this sheer because it’s so different. I want it in my sleek, modern bedroom or in my husband’s paneled office! Ha. It’s embroidered and beaded so it gives it that extra and unexpected pizazz for such a contemporary print. Available of course from FCD.
Stop. The. Presses. I may have found my dream counter stool. It mixes leather, cording, and brass which happen to be all of my favorite things. These stools are from McGuire, and I am loving so much of what they are putting out lately. These stools are so versatile, that you could place them in a traditional or modern setting or even a coastal property. I want to wake up and drink my morning coffee in these every day of my life.
It's that time of year - back to school! I don't know about you but staying organized at home during this chaotic time is half the battle! I love following @thehomeedit on Instagram and their book does not disappoint. It has great ideas for keeping clutter at bay and I feel the stress melting away with each fresh cabinet and countertop! Buy the book at the Container Store and fill your cart with all those handy supplies while you're there!
Although I must admit I am totally over pumpkin spice everything, there is one thing I cannot deny - I love all things Fall! As the weather becomes crisp, my favorite thing to do is snuggle up with a good book and a cozy blanket. These chunky knit throws are both stylish and ultra soft with big, bold texture. It's the perfect gift for someone you love (or a treat for yourself!).
It's never too early to start thinking about holiday gifts and this is one special enough for the top of my wish list!
You'll love getting ready in front of this feature-packed makeup mirror from simplehuman. Listen to your morning playlist, get the lowdown on traffic, weather and more from Alexa, and use the easy-touch light bar to adjust the temperature and intensity of the light. And most importantly, the tru-lux light system simulates natural sunlight to give you the best view of your skin for cleansing and makeup application.
I love MAC cosmetics and I'm excited to experiment with new hues as the weather changes, and so does my wardrobe. I love this easy lipstick that is matte without drying and cracking, and the colors are brilliant yet soft. They are easy to wear as my skin tone changes (and my glowing tan fades away).
My makeup and wardrobe aren't the only things that change seasonally and I'm currently reviewing my entire decor for fun Fall updates. I just love a pouf and these combine the perfect style and comfort to add seating as our family spends more and more time indoors. These are both affordable and timeless, and will make a great addition to my living area!
I only noticed how many of my picks were orange until I put them all together, but let’s go with it. Orange is, after all, the perfect transition color from summer to fall, and this flowy dress can be worn in both seasons.
Funky is definitely the word to use for these shoes! Etsy is a great site to find beautiful unique handmade items, and these slides fit the bill. I love the pattern and texture combo, plus the great price.
Go bold with this orange accent table. It’ll brighten up any room and give it a pop of color, and the (faux) leather and nailheads keep it grounded. Also, the price just so right.
If you’re really getting into the orange and want to take quite a major price jump, this credenza is the piece of furniture to splurge on. The orange lacquer with the geometric nickel hardware is unbeatable. It’s the inevitable centerpiece of any room.
I actually have this coffee table. It’s my favorite piece of furniture in my apartment. It just elevates everything to glam in a bold and unexpected way. (It also doesn’t hurt that it shares my name.)
