Fall has definitely been entering full swing lately, and we know what that means: sweater weather! Jen picked this magnificent sweater set from J. Crew and Maureen opted for a funky sweater from Anthropologie, while Miri chose to cling onto the last fleeting warm days with a breezy shirtdress. It’s that in-between season when fashion is anything and everything, so we have quite the range for you this week!
I’m all about a good blowdryer. I do invest in my styling tools because if have very fine, limp hair. If you’re someone with curly hair who blows it straight, this might be the dryer for you! Look up the before/after photos. Seeing might be believing on this one.
Football game, jaunt to the grocery store, thrown over your leggings after a workout…this parka works for it all. Do you do any of these things? I always imagine myself in running out of my Brooklyn brownstone in my clothing picks but you imagine it any way you like.
My only concern with this one (for me) is how much volume it adds to your silhouette. No one wants to be a brown tent. Still, I want to believe it will look great, and TopShop rarely disappoints. I’d just say size up since TS runs small for sure.
This is a splurge and a half but it’s just so cool. It’s both a pool table and a ping pong table! We’ve been getting a lot of request for both lately, and if you want to really go for it, and save some room, then this is the game table for you! I’d love this in my basement renovation project; along with with a new bar, new floor, new ceiling, new lighting, some drywall, a gym space, and more storage.
There’s nothing I don’t love about this combo. I’m all about the matchy lately. ALL ABOUT IT. It’s everywhere, and I’m embracing it—be it clothing, repeat patterns on walls, or upholstery and windows! I love black and white, especially with white as the ground color. This whole outfit feels like and airy, yet I think it can transcend seasons, and move right into fall with tights and short boots.
I totally love the vibe of everything Phillip Lim. He does structured, and utilitarian so well. And now, accessories?
Even though this airpod holder is a menswear item, I would totally wear this as a train commuter into NYC. In fact, why am I not this person? I don’t use my airpods enough to actually sport this but if there was a utility knife/measuring tape version, I’d be on board. Think of this for your college kid, traveler, or uber cool millennial friend or relative.
I am admittedly late to the Kombucha game but now that I've arrived I’ve been spending a lot of time and money exploring various brands and flavors and the Brew Dr. Superberry is a definite favorite! If you’re also new to Kombucha, it’s a raw, fermented tea that comes with many health benefits. Keep hearing you need probiotics? Find them in Kombucha! Want a healthy alternative to alcohol when you’re just sick of water? Try Kombucha! Everyone carries it these days, but please be warned – some taste like apple cider vinegar which is also very beneficial for your health but not as pleasing to the taste buds!

A few months back we shared photos from our Canton project that included a gorgeous bookshelf display organized by shades of the rainbow. Believe it or not, that particular client provided all of their own materials and it worked out perfectly! If you aren’t lucky enough to have curated a collection of colorful books, nor the time to source them yourself, these Colors by the Foot from Booth & Williams are a fantastic option.
As I mentioned last week, I recently purchased a beautiful Robin Bruce sectional, and as one new purchase normally does it has encouraged me to look at replacing everything in my living room! I’m loving this round ottoman from Le-Coterie in mixed textiles. It’s fresh and modern, neutral yet special. I think it’s really going to send my room in just the right direction!
Is everyone finally on the podcast train? I love them! I’m in the car a lot visiting our wonderful clients, and I love listening to podcasts to pass the time. Everyone always asks what I’m listening to now, and this is definitely always in my top five! How Did This Get Made, hosted by three of my favorite comedians, breaks down some of the most ridiculous movies ever made in the most hilarious fashion. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself laughing out loud which is what we all really need right now! (available wherever you get your podcasts)
It’s sweater season!! HOORAY! As much as I love pulling out my seasonal storage bins and swapping my closet, I also get so excited to add a few new pieces to my collection. I treated myself to this beauty in anticipation of an outdoor event last weekend and received so many compliments. Anthropologie is an FCD favorite and their Fall collection is no exception!
I discovered Camilla Frances on Pinterest while looking for color scheme ideas for a painting. She has the most beautiful, original patterns. Lovely flowers, charming geometric prints, and other botanical prints are her specialties. Her prints serve as an inspiration to me whether it’s art, fashion, or design.
I’m in love with this charming chair found on Global Views/Studio A. It’s structured but still whimsical thanks to the bright dotted pattern and unique curved back. Contact FCD for pricing and purchase!
Summer is definitely on its way out, and what better way to say farewell than this cheerful dress from Boden? It’s a fresh pop of color, and a beautiful silhouette.
I really couldn’t decide which picture to put here, because all of Susan Gordon’s pottery is exquisite. She makes everything from bowls to earrings, and you’ll want every one of them, I promise.
$38 (on sale!)
I actually just got these this week as an anniversary present from my in-laws, who got me an Anthro gift card (did I mention they know me well?). I love the gold rim, obviously, and the frosted ombre really elevates the whole look.
