Our Services

OVERVIEW

Working with us means being transparent and mindful.  We will tell you how everything is going to work in our very first meeting. We do our best to stay respectful of your budget, what other areas you are spending your money on, and the other relationships we need to build with contractors, builders, and architects.  We all become a family, a unit; working toward a common goal and the end place.  Your dream room or home is our every day work, so we have to be proud of the output.

We can cover all aspects of decorating, from initial space planning and architectural plans for new homes and renovations to designing a single room.  We offer expertise and referrals within our network of builders, architects, and other contractors to make your home all that it can be.

We also work outside of the “process” to infuse the unexpected.  Sometimes a design plan or drawing doesn’t cut it.  We’re often pushing up our sleeves, hashing out the nuances of the way a kitchen hood, the arrangement of chairs, or the placement of sconces look in a room on the fly.  This is where instinct and gut styling come into play over methodical floor planning and 3D renders.  We love to show clients what their rooms will look like, but often we need to get the feeling of the space and where things need to be in the very last stages of designing it.  Sometimes, that’s where the real magic happens.

“One of our clients bought a home with a vast entry, long hallways, high ceilings, and lots of trim! We decided the walls in all of the common areas would be white; but which white? We brought pots and large paint swatches of all our favorites, and even some new ones. We painted for three days, in every light, on every wall that would have it. We had votes, we had discussions, we had whole walls painted to be sure. We ended up picking White Dove by Benjamin Moore—the first paint chip Jen put on her desk when we started!”

THE PROCESS

Whether we design a room or an entire house, it all starts with an initial meeting or consultation to determine what your design needs are, and what the scope of the project will be.
There are several directions we can take after that point. Typically the process includes:

  • Inspiration or mood boards to determine preferences of style, color, and execution of spaces

  • Space planning, furniture layout, and possible structural updates

  • Presentation of recommended fabrics, wall and floor coverings, materials, products, etc.

  • Various tiers of product recommendations and pricing

  • Acquisition of furnishings, one-of-a kind items, as well as “to the trade” product

  • Receiving, warehousing, and delivery

  • Execution and installation of all products in your home

All full-service design is estimated either by a flat project/room fee or hourly and is commensurate on budget, scale of project, and detail of work required.  Please contact us by phone, email, or through our contact form to start the conversation.  Most projects commence with a $30,000+ spend budget, but we love hearing about projects and how we can help, so don’t hesitate to reach out. We always follow-up with either an email introduction or a quick phone call to get to know you before we meet in person to ensure we all feel comfortable before proceeding.
